At this point, it seems like rom-com writers have exhausted every plot line out there: Girl meets boy but it’s complicated because she’s a major movie star and he’s a nobody who runs a bookstore. Boy gets a job at a department store and falls in love with a mannequin that comes to life.

Apparently, there’s one plot line they’ve yet to explore. In the faux-trailer above, IFC’s “Birthday Boys” give the rom-com treatment to a subject matter that probably shouldn’t get it: a husband having an affair.
